Incredibly Helpful Book For Writing
I've already mentioned Stephen Pressfield's book The War Of Art and how it helped get me writing. I've been rereading it about once a year to keep me motivated and ready to battle Resistance.
He has another book that I've found more technically helpful: Nobody Wants To Read Your Sh*t: Why That Is And What You Can Do About It. In classic Pressfield style, he mixes interesting anecdotes about his writing journey with practical advice on story structure: from inciting interest early on in the story to sticking with a three act format. Essential to anyone who wants to enhance the way they think about stories, and improve their writing.
